Miss la sen workshop

Miss La Sen wants to guide about organic, low-carbon agriculture. In estimation, Miss La Sen will appears all over the garden on the maps, signages, guidances.

HOW TO MAKE A PAPERCUT THAI MISS LA SEN

Cutting paper shapes and assembling them to form an image is simple. Any shapes can be combined, collage styles, to form an image. If you are a fan of Miss La Sen from the Sorim Story boardgame, “ Hi La Sen- Hi Nice Life” song and the “Story at Sorim town” comic book, you can follow these steps to create an picture of Miss La Sen in a Thai traditional Chakkraphat, costume is similar to Chakkri - the unique Thai traditional dress which worn for royal and national ceremonies. Get started at step number one below.

           

           

Steps













1.        
Search online for the pattern. Copy the shapes shown in the image below or obtain the pattern how ever you can. Print out the pattern on a sheet of A4 size paper. Cut out all your paper templates.
2.        
Draw round the body template piece on thick some art paper or washi Japanese paper and cut it out.
3.        
Draw around the headband and flower. Glue them the same as way as the picture did.
4.        
Cut the blue bow. Glue it onto the headband.
5.        
Cut the eyes, cheeks, and mouth. Glue them onto the face.
6.        

Cut the yellow blouse and glue it.
7.        
Cut the violet skirt and glue it under the blouse.
8.        
Cut the underlining of the skirt and glue it.
9.        
Cut the dominating diagonal strip.
10.      
Cut the 2 red borders for the diagonal piece. Glue them onto the main strip.
11.      
Cut the rear strip.
12.      
Glue the rear strip behind the left shoulder. Cut the shoes and glue them onto the skirt.
13.      
Glue it onto the paper frame. You can draw some orchid flowers, the Thai national flower, on the card. The Songkran, Loy Krathong Festivals are coming, you can make this craft to celebrate these big events as a souvenir gift.

Steps
1.        




























Download the Miss La Sen Pattern and print it out in A3 paper.
2.        
Cut out templates and trace onto foam with pen. Cut out 2 heads. One for the front, one for the back of the foam bag.
3.        
Cut  an orange felt a little bigger than the Miss La Sen head. It should be approximately 3cm wider than the main head.
4.        
Glue the foam head onto the orange felt head.
5.        
Cut out the flower, headband, and bow. Glue the headband onto the head.
6.        
Glue the bow onto the headband.
7.        
Glue the flower onto the right ear.
8.        
Glue two pink cheeks, the mouth, and the eyes onto the first head.
9.        
Cut 3 pieces of craft foam (blue, pink, light orange)  into a rectangle approximately 38 cm long and 03 cm wide. Use the glue gun to glue them onto together. This one is the bottom of bag.
10.      
Bend this foam bottom along the face of Miss La Sen.
11.      
Use the glue gun to glue this bottom onto Miss La Sen’s face.
12.      
Glue the back of the second Miss La Sen head onto this foam bottom.
•           You now have a container you can use to hold things.

13.      
Cut a blue craft foam into rectangle approximately 38 cm long and 05 cm wide for the bag strap.
14.      
Glue this strap onto 2 sides of the foam used for bottom.
15.      
Enjoy your bag! It won't take a huge weight but you can use it to hold light objects or you can hang it up to hold small items like stationery, while providing decoration, too.

On the festivals such as the lantern lighting festival, Diwali, Vesak day, the lantern festival, Yuanxiao Festival, and the mid- autumn festival; people hang a lot of lanterns on many strings. The lotus is meaningful symbol in Buddhism. Lotuses are also known as the Hindu Sacred Flower. The lotus has the special meaning in the age of ancient Indian culture.

On these events, many lotus lanterns light up the streets, houses, temples, alleys. With this guide, you can make the glass paper lotus lantern.

    Trace the 2 lotus shapes on the thick foam, 5 millimetres thick to have a strong base and then cut them out.

    Cut 2 squares for the top and the bottom of the lantern.

    Cut 2 small lines at the top and the bottom of each lotus. Poke the 2 lotuses in the crossed position. It is like a main frame for the lantern.

    Cut the 4 small lines at 4 corners of each square to later poke in the inside edges of the violet lotus.

    Punch 4 holes at 4 corners on each square to later poke the arrow tabs on the violet frame. You should have 2 squares.

    Cut the glass paper and glue it onto each yellow petal. In each petal, punch a hole at the top and a hole at the bottom to poke the arrow tabs on the pink square later.
